Well this week flew by! I spent Monday afternoon through to Friday in Bellevue, Washington for some silly CRM class. Let’s just say that I learnt a few things, but not enough to merrit me sitting through four FULL eight hour days!
Anyways, I am going to be driving home around 5pm this evening, probably not arriving at my apartment until 8 or 9pm. From there, it’s pretty much straight to bed as I have to get up at 6AM because I have THREE hours of spin starting at 7 in morning! FUN!
Also, I will be picking up Crysis 2 tomorrow for most likely both the XBOX and the PC. I haven’t played it since the beta, but from what I’ve seen and heard, it’s PGDA!
Ok, that’s it … no more rambling …
Since it’s Friday, I will leave you with this gem …

Was browsing through some articles on CNN and stumbled upon this one. I was drawn to it because I spend a lot of my time at work surfing the interwebz (NOT GOOD!).
New York Times writer David Carr was walking down a street in Austin, Texas, with his wife when he saw actor Rainn Wilson pop up wearing a superhero costume. His first instinct: I have to tweet about this. “I didn’t engage with her about it. It was like how quickly can I get away and tweet this,” he said at a panel discussion on online distraction at South by Southwest Interactive on Monday. “I didn’t want to discuss it with her - I just wanted to tweet it out.”
So it’s lunch time, and I decided to leave the office to get food and do some errands. While leaving, I got an email saying that my linkedin request with Robert Bowling was confirmed. This started to get me thinking. My goal is to find my way into the gaming industry, so how can I replicate, or take some practices that helped him become successful, and apply them to my journey? That’s as far as I got …
What I do know is that I have taken certain steps in the last year in order to dip my feet in the water. I’ve maintained a fairly successful YouTube channel. I’ve formed various business relationships with industry people. I’ve even attended PAX East, and have plans to attend E3 in June and PAX Prime later in the year.
I think if I can continue on the path I am currently on and continue to blog about my progress, that I will end up where I am meant to be.
“If you don’t make mistakes, you’re not working on hard enough problems. And that’s a big mistake.”
I did a commentary over some of your gameplay a while ago - your tweet really helped me out and gained me a bunch of views! It's great there are people out in the community who are willing to help smaller and more unknown YouTubers out there. Great job on the blog - can't wait for more posts!
